Martin Aronoff, DDS

Martin Aronoff, DDS, affectionately known as “Dr. Mat,” is a general dentist at Greene Street Dental in SoHo, Manhattan. He proudly provides high-quality oral health care to patients in and around New York City. Dr. Aronoff has a level of experience that builds trust with his patients.
In the Aronoff family, providing patient-centered dental care is a family tradition. They have been providing exceptional dental services to the people living in and around the SoHo area for over 55 years. Dr. Aronoff’s father, Samuel Aronoff, started Greene Street Dental in 1946 with a commitment to quality dentistry and a strong belief in taking care of patients’ needs. Today the practice is committed to those same values, providing exceptional, compassionate dental care to every patient who visits the practice.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Dr. Aronoff studied dentistry at the State University of New York’s School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo. To bolster his knowledge and stay up-to-date on the latest dental technologies, Dr. Aronoff has since completed additional courses regarding Invisalign certification, endodontic breakthroughs and new techniques, periodontal local drug delivery systems, stress-free endodontics, oral pathology, and a variety of other subjects. Dr. Aronoff is an assistant clinical professor of advanced endodontics at New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. He’s also a member of the American Dental Association and the New York County Dental Society.
Dr. Aronoff has extensive experience in the dental field. He has treated patients of all ages and is skilled at educating patients about treatment options and preventive care. Dr. Aronoff is empathetic toward those with dental anxiety and is adept at motivating them to follow through with oral health treatments. It’s Dr. Aronoff’s personal mission to provide comfortable care to patients from all walks of life, educating them along the way. He employs a friendly, upbeat, humorous approach to help his patients relax. Not only does it help build trust in Dr. Aronoff’s abilities as a dentist, but it allows him to deliver a better overall dental experience so that patients can achieve excellent oral health in a positive, relaxed manner.
In his spare time, Dr. Aronoff enjoys reading, computers, photography, world adventure and travel, hiking, history, philosophy, and practicing meditation.
Shane Methal, DDS
Shane Methal, DDS, also known to his patients as “Dr. Shane,” specializes in general dentistry at Greene Street Dental in SoHo, Manhattan. He provides exceptional care to patients of all ages in and around New York City.
Dr. Methal graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. Currently, he divides his time serving as a dentist at Greene Street Dental and an assistant clinical professor at the New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. Dr. Methal has experience in both general and cosmetic dentistry. He’s more than capable of helping patients who desire routine dental work, such as a dental checkup or teeth cleaning, as well as those with aesthetic demands, such as veneers or bridges. Dr. Methal is determined to help his patients achieve the perfect smile through preventive oral health, restorative implant dentistry, and the latest dental technologies available.
It’s Dr. Methal’s personal mission to help people achieve health and happiness in a warm and friendly environment. By combining a patient’s dental needs and desires with Dr. Methal’s exacting nature, he is able to work collaboratively with them to create something of immeasurable value.
In his spare time, Dr. Methal enjoys hiking, amateur photography, reading, traveling, and is an avid wrist watch enthusiast.
George Winston, DDS
Dr. Winston George is a general dentist committed to providing comprehensive care to all his patients using the latest advances in dentistry. A Raleigh, NC native, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. During his time at the UNC School of Dentistry, he was an officer for the Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC) where he helped organize clinics to provide dental care to underserved members of the local community. He was also an officer in Delta Sigma Delta, a nationally recognized dental fraternity promoting dental scholars and charity. At the end of his third year, Dr. George was awarded the Hinman Dental Society Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and leadership in dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. George pursued a General Practice Residency at New York Presbyterian – Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. During his residency, he focused on providing care to medically and dentally complex patients both in and outside the hospital setting. He also received extensive training in oral surgery, implants, oral pathology, as well as dental and facial trauma. His residency program also trained him with skills in cosmetic whitening, veneers, Invisalign and Botox injection.
In his free time Dr. George loves traveling with his fiancée and friends, experimenting in the kitchen and cheering on the UNC Tar Heels.
Dr. Kristina Salaverry was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine after receiving a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Dartmouth College. She obtained a Master of Science in periodontics during her residency at Columbia University, where her research examined the prevalence of periodontal disease in patients with advanced heart failure.
Recently, Dr. Salaverry published a paper entitled “A Dentist’s Role in the Treatment of Halitosis” in the October 2013 edition of the dental journal Compendium. Dr. Salaverry takes great pride in emphasizing the connection between oral health and overall well-being. She is passionate about saving teeth whenever possible and finding a way to replace teeth that have been lost. Dr. Salaverry is excited to be part of a team that gives someone their smile back. Her specialties include evaluating periodontal risk factors, non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal disease, treatment of halitosis, and aesthetic implant therapy. In addition to private practice, she has been an instructor of clinical dental medicine at Columbia within the Section of Oral and Diagnostic Sciences (Division of Periodontics). In 2013, Dr. Salaverry became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Outside the office, Dr. Salaverry is a violinist with the New York Repertory Orchestra and performs in several concerts throughout the year. Her other hobbies include attending musical theater and movies, cooking, yoga, pilates, and fantasy football. She is also a member of the New York Junior League.
